Once upon a time... Agony Peak was founded by Patrick Dinkfeld in 1999, with a few borrowed cameras, and a single indie kung-fu film. Since then, he has taken his passion for art & time through many industries. Patrick oversees the development of all Film, Video, & Motion Graphics projects from beautiful Santa Monica, CA. He brings a unique perspective to the industry, both in his understanding of branding, and it's potential to come alive in motion media, as well as his versatility as a director, animator, and producer, of motion, time, and image. From 2001 to 2006, Patrick worked at Siegel+Gale, a world-renowned strategic branding firm, to formalize the motion graphics practice, and build a strong, in-house, film and video division. He was responsible for every aspect of the process, from developing schedules and budgets, through event planning and final presentations. While at Siegel+Gale, he worked directly with clients such as American Express, Microsoft, Lexus, and Technicolor. Patrick has been making films and designing professionally since 1994, working on projects for clients such as, Infogrames (PlayStation & Nintendo), Nestle, Levi's, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Hasbro, City of Hope, Ether Films, Participant Productions, BMG/BMI, Herbalife, Gravity Games, Surfer Magazine, Movieline Magazine, Teen Magazine, CalArts, Univision, and multiple cable television programs. Patrick has lectured on Motion Graphics at both the UCLA design school and CalArts and has taught multiple Motion Graphics and Digital Video classes at CalArts since graduating from the design program in 1998.
